DESCRIPTION:“Virginia’s Fight for Reproductive Freedom” \n\n\n\nJamie Lockhart\, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia\, will help us understand the need to enshrine reproductive freedom in Virginia’s constitution and the process to do so. \n\n\n\nJoin us at Montano’s\, located at 3733 Franklin Rd SW. Our program begins at 12:00 noon followed by the business meeting. If ordering lunch\, please arrive early. Lunch orders will be taken until 11:45am. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout our speaker:Jamie Lockhart\, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia\, brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit advocacy\, political organizing\, and public policy to her role as Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia. For the last five years\, she has led efforts to protect and expand reproductive health care access through legislation\, education\, electoral action\, and litigation. Jamie has played a pivotal role in repealing abortion restrictions\, expanding access to care\, and securing pro-reproductive rights majorities in the Virginia General Assembly. Under her leadership\, PPAV’s endorsement has become a political powerhouse\, and Planned Parenthood VA PAC has been instrumental in key electoral victories. \n\n\n\nA trusted authority on reproductive rights\, Jamie is regularly featured in major Virginia publications and serves as a primary resource for state reporters. A Chesterfield County native\, she holds a BA in Political Science from James Madison University (magna cum laude) and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. Her political expertise was shaped on Virginia campaigns\, including President Obama’s 2012 reelection\, and through work on Capitol Hill. Jamie is also a certified fitness instructor and exercise enthusiast. She resides in Arlington\, VA\, with her husband and two young children.
