At this month’s meeting\, we’ll focus on how you can get involved in voter outreach to support our Democratic candidates—up and down the ballot. \n\n\n\nSpotlight: The Power of CanvassingDoor-to-door canvassing is still the gold standard of voter outreach. Unlike phone banking or postcards\, face-to-face conversations are the most effective way to engage voters\, build trust\, and ensure they have the information—and motivation—they need to vote. \n\n\n\nHere’s what we’ll cover: \n\n\n\n\nWhat canvassing looks like in 2025\n\n\n\nTips for effective\, safe\, and FUN canvassing\n\n\n\nHow to find and sign up for upcoming volunteer opportunities\n\n\n\nThe different roles in canvassing—there’s a place for everyone!\n\n\n\nBeyond canvassing\n\n\n\n\nWith early voting in Virginia starting Friday\, September 19\, now is the time to take action and help drive voter turnout. \n\n\n\nWe’ve also invited all of our Democratic candidates and their campaign representatives to join us\, bring yard signs\, and connect with volunteers. \n\n\n\nPLUS: We’ll announce and present our 2025 campaign contributions. \n\n\n\nLet’s get organized\, energized\, and ready to win this November. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing everyone at Montano’s\, 3733 Franklin Rd SW. Our program begins at 12:00 noon followed by a brief business meeting. If ordering lunch\, please arrive between 11:15 and 11:45 to place your order.
