Roanoke Valley Democratic Women (RVDW) is a Political Action Committee that serves to promote Democratic principles by helping to get Democrats elected to public office on the local, state, and national levels. The RVDW also helps identify and develop the grass roots strength of women in the Democratic Party.
Roanoke Valley Democratic Women operate with honesty and integrity and are dedicated to exemplifying ethical behavior inside the Democratic Party. We spurn the negativity and divisiveness that has led to the public’s recent indifference to politics and resolve to highlight the compassion and the standards of humanity that serve as the bedrock of Democratic ideology. The RVDW is committed to leading by example and to emphasizing the merits of community service.
Roanoke Valley Democratic Women has a unique and inclusive membership that celebrates diversity and welcomes all participants. If you are interested in sharing your time and energy with like-minded friends working toward common goals, we encourage you to attend our meetings.
We meet on the fourth Friday of September, October, January, February, March, April and May. In an outreach endeavor to include working women and women who are unable to attend our regularly scheduled lunchtime meetings, we have added Dems After Dark to our organization (days and locations of these evening get-togethers will vary). The RVDW hosts an annual primary fundraiser, a variety of social events, and meet and greet opportunities with our elected Democrats and Democratic candidates. These can all be found on our Meeting & Events page.
